What would you find yourself doing if asked to work on this project?
Would you be willing to help in advertising, interviewing, keeping us sane, etc.
Please, also let us know why you want to do that job.

I've got a feeling that I'm going to be doing most of the editing and post production, but I'm not the best behind a camera. Also, as stated elsewhere, if anyone would like to be anonymous I could very easily do the blur filter thing like you see on COPS and other shows. I could also change voices or black out or remove anything that should not be in the shot. As far as an animated avatar like Savage suggested: that I'm not so sure about, but if anyone would like an avatar speaking in their place it's certainly a doable thing in post production.

I have a dedicated server account with unlimited bandwidth and storage, so we can certainly share content (including large files) and host mini viewings along the way to final production.

If anyone would like to collaborate, I'll be using Adobe After Effects and Premier, as well as Final Cut to get everything pieced together just right :).

If anyone out there has any editing experience I STRONGLY urge them to come forward as so far I think I may be the only editor here, and this is definitely NOT a one person job.

Editing or not, if anyone has anything to offer, it would greatly be appreciated! People generally think of video and film as being very technical, but the reality of it is that sometimes you just need an extra set of hands, ears, or eyes. To me, the more people that contribute to this project, the more personal it becomes to us all.

I can be an interviewer, keep you guys sane/bounce ideas off of, as well as advertising, but I don't know how to make websites or anything like that so I'm more the just keeping sane. :P

I suck at pin-pointing things like this. @_@ I want to help you guys in any way I can, but there's not one thing I can pull from the top of my head to say I can do. I'm a decent writer, so I could help with that, or help proofread/review things and give input, or if you want someone brand new to the therian community for an interview, I don't think I'd mind that either. I guess whatever you can think of as time goes along and the project takes shape, I'll be happy to help with. :P

I kinda echo Phelan's statement. I'm an ok writer, and I'd be more than willing to sit down and proofread or whatever is needed. I could do an interview, if one was needed, but I'd really rather not. Call me if you need more material, I guess.

Basically, I'll help with whatever you give me

If you find a need for glitzy cg fx, I can probably help. I don't have any film experience so don't expect ILM quality heh, but the work I do is like a second cousin to that industry. Applying cg to illustrate any scientific presentations, weremap style population density, text, or whatnot might help give the production an extra degree of professionalism, even though it would be a total mainstream eye candy thing to use. I might be able to get a couple coworkers to help out as well, one of which I trust completely and who is aware of my therioside.

You might try hunting down sponsors for the project if there are any viable sources. The economy is tough, but you could find people or groups who would be willing to donate funds in return for a simple thanks in the credits. The folks at Para-X, for instance? Whether or not they can, they might be able to point you to someone else.

Consider other donation revenue streams as well to collect funds that can be applied to the project. Direct Paypal links. Cafepress style online shops where you can upload unique art designs for products created by members in the community for members in the community to purchase toward the fulfillment of the documentary. Yada yada.

A few other ideas are floating through my brain, but I'll have to post them later.

O: Art designs for merchandise would be fun, I love drawing and I'm fairly good at it when I sit down and work hard at a piece. I know someone else who is a talented artist...I bet even more so than I am... (I'm looking at you, Agita! :P)

If people are okay with it and it's possible for those who wish to be 'blurred' any howls or big events (the convention thingy in Memphis) should have people video taping... those discussions and panels might be really useful to this project. Although it would show inadvertently associated with furries since it's at a furry convention, but that could be a good point in the show to explain the difference

We actually would need some music. Nothing like Hard Rock but music would be great. Also sound editing would help out.

I could also help on the music front, I've composed a variety of soundtracks for indie games before and many other small projects (ranging from a soundtrack to a small flash animation to producing and writing an entire synthpop album) - plus I'm pretty sure I've got enough electronical gear to destroy a small elephant.

I write New Age music and various other forms of Minimalistic Glitch in my spare time, I also branch out to Industrial, Synthpop and Chiptune when I get bored.

Though I do think showing the panels would be beneficial, I still think it would be best to leave out anything that could possible relate us to furries. Im assuming that there is going to be an explaination that shows why we are NOT all furries, so putting us at a furry convention will just contradict our argument. I think showing all therian howls would be a safer bet.

How much would that be to go ahead and get something started? Also, anyone who helps in the fundraisers or even the artwork will be in the production book.

I'm capable of translating things into Spanish. Seeing as a large portion of the US population is Hispanic, could be useful. I probably won't be free until the 11th, though.

My knowledge of film making is non-existing, and I don't wish to appear in the movie in any way (I don't believe I could even if I wanted, being an ocean away). However, I do want to help it come through. If there's someway to donate to the project, through a paypal account or something, count on me.

Also, if at some point it's decided there should be a website for promoting the film, I could help at that too, whether at constructing it (while I'm not a web designer, I do have some knowledge about it), or at providing the hosting.

I think I could register a domain name for about $10 / year (have no problem with paying it for the first year, since I was thinking of donating anyways). I already have the hosting. However, I'd need to first do some security checking, basically to verify that nobody would be able to find out my identity from the domain or hosting.

Just PM and we can talk about the details.

I guess I could write an essay on what it feels like to be manta ray when I swim, but there's a serious risk of it only being 10 rows long and boring people enough to make them spontaneously fall asleep. Or translate things to swedish.

You're fine. Actually I am looking for an aquatic therian. I've got a reptile willing to help out and it would be great to have someone with an aquatic side to them. Also, for those who do have essay's please submit them. We can use someone them for the production book. I would like to be able to include people's personal views there, if no where else.

Swedish, eh? That has to be interesting. We have to get it made before we can worry about dubbing it, but I'll keep that in mind.

We've got to get it made first, but when the script is finished I will send you a copy to start work on. Also, if you can find any information that I might have over looked because of language, can you please do some research.
Any language that can be read, spoken, and translated PROPERLY will be a big help in research. Just please cite all works.

I can do research for the project in my free time; I have access to the University Library (so some more specialised and academically charged texts) as well as access to my personal book collection, so I feel I could be of some use there.

Beyond that I have done some freelance advertising work (as i've mentioned before), so if you give me a concept I can give that concept visual life....at least until someone with more experience than me can come along and help out a bit.

I'm also a dragonkin, so I could probably help give some information about that angle, should it be added in, and (perhaps) how it contrasts to therianthropy?

Mostly I'm a research buff, but I am also tied down with my University work and Museum internship (and perhaps educationa programme soon) at times, so a little patience might be necessary.

Beyond that I have volunteered myself to attempt to film some of the Therians in the U.k., but I'm not sure how useful this may be.

I also wouldn't mind being interviewed, though I'd prefer to remain anonymous....on that thought trail I'll also ask my partner (who is a wolf therian*) whether or not he'd be willing to be inerviewed.

*On that note it may be interesting to have a brief part in the documentary that addresses otherkin/therian, therian/therian relationships, if only in passing....just a random idea.

I need some help now. I need to get some people to please write something about what they feel....I don't know how to explain it...let's see.

I need something on Species Disphoria...explaining it, what is it, does it affect therians as a whole, etc.

Another one would be on the different kinds of therians. I know project shift has something like this but I need some information on therians, types IE Suntherians, etc. Also how does otherkin fit into this.

I also need something talking about differences in "species". Not all therians are wolves, but why do people branch off, how, why, what causes, etc.

What's the difference from a furry and a therian would be a good one.

Why are "lifestyers" different and do they just try and live the life because of the media?

I would like something on how totems and theriosides differ.

Does therianthophy affect social life and family life? How and why, would be another one.

If anyone is interested in something like this, please let me know. I need personal experiences as well as something dealing with the group as a whole, so it can't be full of "I did this, and I did that" It can have some but not be full of it. It will take some research. This would be good for someone that has knowledge on the matter but is also wanting to learn.

I've got someone writing on how Therianthrophy is not really religious but it doesn't "affect" religion.

Thanks all. If there is something else that I can think of I will let you all know.

edit: If you want to help out on this, but do not want any names put on it, please let me know. We can keep you completely anonymous. If you want to help but are afraid for some reason I do not mind keeping you as an Anon.
