Wow, so lovely~ I'm going to make all of these into a super long playlist. Thank you, everyone!

I do like some Nightwish... "Swanheart" was a great song (and not just because of the name).

"Bigger Than My Body" by John Mayer

    "Yes I'm grounded
    Got my wings clipped
I'm surrounded by all this pavement
    Guess I'll circle
While I'm waiting for my fuse to dry
    Someday I'll fly
    Someday I'll soar
Someday I'll be so damn much more
Cause I'm bigger than my body gives me credit for"

I'm glad you liked it. I wasn't too certain if it was too harsh. I absolutely love Nightwish, especially with Tarja as the singer.

Bringing this back up because we found this really cool folk song that just reminded us of therianthropy in a lot of ways.

"I Don't Speak Human" by Omnia

Deep within the shadows, I'm the hungry wolf you fear
But I can see that you're the only evil creature here
Before you came we lived in peace but you brought us death
I sing my pain up to the moon but it's a waste of breath

    Because I don't speak human...You can't understand a word I'm saying

Upon a wing, a flying thing, to you I seem so small
But I look down on what you've done, my raven's eye sees all
You people like a cancer grow, destroying all you see
and 7 billion mutant monkeys, won't listen to me

I won't run this human race, your war is not for me
I hear the voices from the wild, they thought me how to see
It's us who are the strangers here and we don't own the land
My words they fall upon deaf ears, cause no-one understands

Now you tell me That I'm wrong and animals don't feel
you say the earth is not alive and only We are real
You try to tell me to behave, that I must act like you
But I just stick my fingers in my ears and say ''Fuck you!!!''

    'Cause I don't speak human! I can't understand a word you're saying!

Evanescence songs kind of remind me of otherkin, not really because of the lyrics, but more like how the songs have an effect on you. Enchanting ^.=.^

"Hunter's Kiss" and "Possum of the Grotto" from Rasputina. "Possum" might also apply to furries a bit. I'd say "Clipped" may also be relevant but more for people who have past life memories or wish for nonhuman bodies - I don't, so I don't particularly relate to it, but I see how people who feel that their human body is very limiting might.

Is it me or does anyone else feel weird when someone bashes the human race despite being human themselves? Not to mention paint everyone under a broad, negative stereotype?

Not really, but then again I don’t see a pagan folk song talking about the worst aspects of human society and then talking about a better view of the world, human bashing. Plus I don’t see how it began be painting everyone under a board negative brush considering it’s a folk song about pagans actually. But then again, we listen to a lot of pagan folk.

I like the song, Zedjeb. Are there other songs by them you'd recommend?
"If you are worthy of his affection, a cat will be your friend but never your slave. He keeps his free will though he loves, and will not do for you what he thinks unreasonable; but if he once gives himself to you, it is with absolute confidence and fidelity of affection." -Theophile Gautier
