I went to a nature preserve yesterday and took so many photos! I don't want to totally flood the thread so I suppose I'll just post a few for now.

Here's the entrance to a hummingbird garden...

They were working on building a new area for birds that they had rescued, so that was cool. It's still pretty small but they already had several birds, like this owl! What a cutie!

They also had a butterfly house, which was, admittedly, the main reason I wanted to go. Sadly they were only letting people in limited groups in there for 20 minutes at a time though, so I couldn't get as many shots as I would have liked. If we weren't in an apocalypse right now and things weren't so risky I would have absolutely stayed in longer then that. Nonetheless, here's a Monarch,

"For Kerguelen" aw thanks I love to see it when someone finds cormorants notable enough to take a picture.

It was a first time I actually saw cormorants in nature. They are not common in most bioms here. But Baikal seems to be big enough for them. I was actually surprised a bit when I saw them))

Lake Baikal looks lovely--I've really only seen pictures of the bottom of the lake before (the freshwater sponges look amazing) but the surface looks nice too. You see any Baikal seals when you were there?

Yes, I saw them couple of times. But I couldn't get good photos of them, most were out of focus)
