Default What music are you listening to? (Part 2)

We hit 100 pages on the original thread, so here's a fresh new one!

I am loving the new Strokes album.

Also this Lemon Demon song in particular (though the whole album is decent). If you aren't familiar with the story of the "ghost" / spirit known as Gef the talking mongoose, at least read the Wikipedia page. It's wild stuff.

The Last Podcast on the Left episode about Gef had me laughing out loud.

Coincidentally, I have been listening to Lemon Demon more often for the past few weeks. Almost to the exclusion of every other band or artist aside from Neil Cicierega's solo stuff and Oingo Boingo.

Also amusing is that this thread was posted the day before Gef's claimed birthday.

I'm finally listening to other stuff...new stuff...like Selki Girl's "Qabalista". Some people have been claiming that they've had natural trips listening to it or that they astral projected due to listening to it in a dim room. Some people have even spread rumors that the songs are spells meant to cause such things. The artist has denied that, though. More background:

QABALISTA is an imaginative journey through western esoteric tradition- one song for each of the Sephiroth climbing up the Tree Of Life. This record serves as an artifact of selki girl’s experiences with ritual and the occult – rooted in queerness and narrated from a working class, trans perspective.
I personally love this particular song from it

Listening to a ton of prog metal, prog rock, and art metal/rock over the last year or so. It's actually taken over my natural propensity for electronic music heh. Some of the artists I've found to be really amazing have been Haken, Leprous, Soen, Vola, Rivers of Nihil, TesseracT, Caligula's Horse and Skyharbor. Been listening to the album Sonder by TesseracT a ton lately.

I'll link a few of my favorites below.

I'm currently listening to all the songs in season 1 of the Umbrella Academy in excited anticipation for season 2 coming out tomorrow.

Lot of angry white boy music lately. Nostalgia for sure. Lots of Tool, Rage against the Machine, SOAD, etc.

Yooo been listening to Lostprophets and jamming the hell out lately LMAO!

Shame about their lead singer. Their spin off band just doesn't have the same energy or vibe, though.

Beastie Boys and Nine Inch Nails are appropriate music to bake delicate French macarons to, right??
